Max’s STORY
Max started in the lawn care industry in 2023. He got his first push mower on the side of the road in his neighborhood, and the homeowner giving it away helped him get the parts needed to fix it up. For the rest of that year, Max worked hard push mowing for family, friends, and the neighbor who helped start his business.
Coming into 2024, Max had saved up enough money to buy his first Zero Turn—a Cub Cadet ZT1 42”. He put it to work right away and gained 8 clients by the end of the season!
Fast forward to 2025. Max got his permit and a hand-me-down trailer from his dad. With the help of word of mouth and a little door-to-door effort, Yellow Jacket grew to 16 weekly mowing clients. He also started offering extra services like mulch installation, aeration, and overseeding.
Now looking ahead, Max plans to grow Yellow Jacket to over 30 weekly mowing clients and add even more seasonal services along the way.
